>At first glance, it looked like a film before the advent of Technicolor. Once the demonstration teams and models hit the stage, Paul Mitchell School’s second Annual Black & White Ball exploded with color.

Held July 29 at Kye’s in Jeffersonville, Indiana., the trademark black-and-white color scheme of Paul Mitchell products spilled over onto the audience. Students and staff worked together to design and to present extreme hair, makeup and wardrobe combinations right on the runway.

Sales Leader Dawn Pajo explained that the school supports a variety of national charities through a three-month annual “FUNraising Campaign.” To date, the organization has raised more than $4.6 million. The Jeffersonville event raised money for Andrew Gomez Dream Foundation, which provides financial support to individuals and businesses in salon and cosmetology, as well as the Children’s Miracle Network. FUNraising Campaigns are completely volunteer driven, which allows Paul Mitchell School to donate all proceeds to charitable groups.

Although an event such as this depends on the efforts of every individual and business involved, the leadership of the school’s Rebecca Burress and Gabrielle Greenwell was vital to the event’s success.
