Megan describes her relationship with Brandon as “a realistic fairytale.” The couple endured the tough reality of living apart when Brandon was called to North Carolina by the Marine Corps while Megan finished her studies at Bellarmine University. But upon her graduation and his honorable discharge, they were ready for their happily ever after to begin.

Brandon surprised Megan by showing up for a date in a limo and treating her to dinner at Bourbons Bistro. The perfect evening concluded at sunset at the Falls of the Ohio with Brandon on bended knee asking for her hand in marriage. Megan says, “I couldn’t ask for a better man to spend the rest of my life with. I have found the prince charming that every little girl dreams of, and it seems like every day just gets better.”

Southern charm infused with modern elegance best describes their ceremony at Highland Baptist Church, where Megan’s favorite moment of the day was taking the hand of her groom at the bottom of the stairs, knowing they were getting ready to take the first step of their life together as husband and wife. Guests proceeded to Louisville Glassworks to enjoy their reception and to watch the bride and groom dance to “When I See You Smile” by Bad English.

Together, Megan and Brandon have weathered some ups and downs but nothing could prepare them for the sporadic weather changes on their wedding day – a day that started sixty degrees and sunny, stormy by noon, and ended with the newlyweds playing in the snow atop Glassworks overlooking the Louisville skyline. “An ending to a fairytale wedding and the beginning of a new life,” recalled the beaming bride.
