The New Year dawned on Louisville with a toast, a kiss, and a cheer. In the words of Hal Borland, “Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us.” Our hope for 2012 is that we continue on the path toward becoming the City of Compassion led by the wisdom and experience of those that grace the pages of NFocus.

New Year’s in Cherokee Triangle:

Judge Angela Bisig welcomed guests to enjoy a delicious spread of hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, offering an environment that encouraged great conversation and the forging of new friendships while taking the first step into a year of unknown possibility.

Black Tie & Bubbly at the Urban Oasis:

Brimming with champagne, Lou and Peggy Heuser’s downtown loft offered the ultimate dance party as their sons, Wil and Chip, led the crowd in memorable choreography. At midnight, guests retreated from the dance floor to the rooftop patio where the countdown overlooked the Louisville Skyline.

Red Penguins Cheer 2012:

What better way to ring in the New Year than at 21c Museum and Hotel? The Proof was at the bar where a newly engaged couple grinned ear-to-ear… downstairs, throngs of excited friends gathered together to raise a glass in celebration before dancing the night away in style. TA/JM
